Inspection for Bulk Transportation and Package Transportation

Any person who wishes to transport petroleum or flammable materials in Singapore must first obtain a license for each vehicle that is used for such transportation.

One of the supporting documents required for the application of license is a certificate of inspection from an approved inspector.

JIC is approved by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) to conduct safety standards inspection for:

1. Bulk Transportation - Prime mover and trailer (bulk tank, ISO tank, BLC), Road tanker (single entity lorry) and
2. Package Transportation - Prime mover and trailer (trucking container containing petroleum or flammable materials in package, examples drums, bottles, pallets etc), Vehicles constructed to carry goods (e.g. lorries, pick-ups, van or box up vehicles)
